How to Use Ext. memory Card as Ram for Most of the Android phones (Root Needed).. Tested On Micromax A87

Are you feeling frustrated because you don’t know how to increase RAM in Android Phones?then I’ve some solution for you. I’ve been going through various online sites and researching on how to increase RAM in Android Phones. This article which I’m writing is the collection of the processes I got through the internet. I’m sure that this technique would help you in increasing RAM in Most of the Android Phones

Before you start with this tutorial, I would like highlight that you need to root your Android Phone. This guide won’t work if you don’t root it.

Prerequisites

As mentioned earlier, you must root your Android device
Please keep battery level to 75% or more.

Files that you neeed

1.Busy Box Download

2.Ram Increaser Download

3.Swapper Download

How to Increase RAM in Most Android Phones

Download and install BusyBox application from the link that is provided in the download section above.
Once you’ve installed the application, open it.
If the application asks for superuser permission, grant it.
Download and install RAM increaser for Micromax A87 from the above link.
Once the app is installed go to the homescreen and add widget > newly installed app widget. This widget will act as a button so that when you click on it, it will free up some RAM.
So, when you feel like you’re low on the RAM, press this button and it will free up some RAM for you.

Second Method

If you’re comfortable enough with the process above, you don’t need to follow this next steps. However, if you want to increase more RAM in Micromax A87, follow these steps.
I hope you’ve already installed busybox from the link given in downloads section.
Once you install that, move ahead and install Swapper from the same downloads section above.
Open swapper on your Android phone and give it super user permissions.
Tick the option – Active swap on boot.
You now need to enter the size of this swap memory. Please consider the following size options according to your needs.
If you’ve 2GB memory card, please use 360MB.
For 4GB – 520MB, For 8GB – 840MB
Click on the button save and be patience while it saving your options.
This will create a swap file on your SD card and it may take considerable amount of time.
Once the process has completed, remove the tick of the box - Active swap on boot. Save settings and close the application.
Re-open the app and again tick the same box - Active swap on boot.
If you’re asked to grant super user permissions, say yes.
Upon ticking that option, you’ll see a message – “Enabling swap”.
This second method uses your memory card as an extra RAM.
